The Umbre hands-free umbrella and backpack in one is one of those products you never knew you needed until you had one. Finally solving the problem of never seeming to have enough hands, Umbre is a multifunctional backpack that allows you to strap in your umbrella and continue on your way.
Initially, you see the Umbre and just think of using it when it rains, but the more I thought about the uses the more came to my mind. Hiking and sporting events are the two main places I can see myself using Umbre every time. Umbrellas aren’t just for the rain- they’re for when you’re sitting on the visitor’s side of the football field and the sun is blaring in your face. Because I can just strap the umbrella into the backpack, I’m able to stay shaded from the sun and keep my hands free to do everything else that needs to be done during a game- like eating concession stand food and cheering for the team. The backpack comes with several other features that make it the ultimate accessory for any outing. I especially appreciate the phone charging feature with iPad and phone pockets.
Umbre also comes with a completely waterproof pocket for those days you’re using the Umbre in the rain. Before heading back inside I can just slip my umbrella into the designated pocket and not worry about anything else getting wet. The backpack also has an insulated drink compartment and a pocket for my sunglasses. The hip straps and back cushion means there’s less bumping as I walk and my back stays cool and dry.
The backpack is 10.25 inches wide and 23.25 inches long. The umbrella is included in the Umbre and has a manual open with a black frame and a Nickel-plated iron shaft. The umbrella has SPF 50 protection so I can look forward to a day at concerts, theme parks, and sporting events shaded and protected. The average cost of a high-end backpack and umbrella is close to $140, so the price point of $89 for the Umbre is really appealing, especially knowing all the different features I’m getting.
