Delivered: Naked Optics Falcon Sunglasses
“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.
Naked Optics Falcon Sunglasses are 3-in-1 sport sunglasses for every activity. Offering eight different parts for three main categories, you’ll never be without the right kind of sunglasses for your activities.
The Falcon sunglasses are categorized into three different sections: Lifestyle, Endurance Sports, and Full Goggle. The lifestyle features are great for a day at the beach, a walk around your neighborhood or a day with friends. Think of them as your typical sunglasses you’d put on for your daily activities. As far as sunglasses go, the lens are huge and I know my eyes are protected from the sun.
The Endurance Sports options add a sweatband and retainer and are great for anything where you need to keep your eyes dry. Cycling, hiking, and other outdoor activities call for the endurance accessories and most athletes are using this configuration. The magnetic sweatband is a great feature and really secured the glasses into place on my face and allowed for a comfortable and no-sweat in the eyes experience.
The Full Goggle Frames offer complete 360-degree eye protection. With the strap and face foam added, now the eyes are enclosed in a goggle frame and protected from wind, dust, water and UV rays. These are great for sports like enduro biking, cross-country skiing, ski touring, or biathlon.
Even though you’re getting essentially 3 pairs of sunglasses in one, the frame material is lightweight and flexible. I like knowing the UV protection is keeping my eyes safe from the sun and the adjustable nose allows for the custom fit I appreciate in a pair of sunglasses. Other notable features include temperature resistance, interchangeable lenses, and the anti-slip strap.
The frames are offered in black or white and the lens is available in 5 different colors and tints. Naked uses recyclable materials and there’s no unnecessary plastic packaging. Naked also plants a tree for every product sold and is doing its part to become a sustainable business. Naked started in the middle of the Alps and has been working to create innovative and beautiful products since 2014.
