“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment “
Glow Battle is a light up sword game for active fun. The game works by splitting your group into two and forming two teams. Each team has their own regeneration station that you create with four lit station markers. There are glowing wristbands for each person that show how many lives you have left. And a sword for each person to hit with. When you go back to your station the bracelet with flash quickly to show the other team that you only have one life left. Players must quit when they have been hit a second time.
The swords are made from foam and don’t hurt when you hit each other with them. You can really get into the game without having a fear of hurting another person. The game allows for people to do team building experiences so that you can gang up on a certain person that is difficult to pursue. It was easy for everyone to participate and it is a great family game because it appeals to all ages.
Glow Battle has been a really fun game to get people up and interacting with one another instead of on social media and being on their devices. I feel like this allowed for us to be able to connect with others in a fun way and create a lot of lasting memories. It’s really nice to have it at night so that we have something to do besides watch TV.
The game comes with weapons of light, regeneration markers, and glow wristbands. All of the batteries for the game pieces are included in the game. Glow Battle is easy to set up and play. The game pieces are equally straightforward. The game can be played by ages 8 and up. They will stay lighted for 6-10 hours. And there are enough glow pieces that you can play with 2-10 players.
