Gravity Warfare was created by a start up called Smart Iguana Games. SIG was started in 2017 to create, develop, prototype, and publish new and exciting board games. They are a big family that has grown into a business dedicated to designing and developing new board games. Their company makes their own prototypes and handles all fo the manufacturing logistics of game creation. They are located in South Carolina and so far have published two different games. Gravity Warfare and DOCE, a two player tactical and strategic dice game.

SIG has reached out to Kickstarter as a way to get their game out there and noticed by new gamers. There is a strong crowd on Kickstarter that they knew that they could reach out to. Their project for Gravity Warfare launched on June 20 and they were 50% funded in under three hours. By the next day their project was fully funded and they were able to start reaching for some of their stretch goals. By the end of their campaign they were able to raise $54,544.00 for the publishing of their game.

Gravity Warfare is a game that is based off of Gravity and has a game board that floats  balanced on a single peg. Gravity Warfare is the “most nerve wracking game yet!” It “is a competitive strategy board game with a take-that mechanic in which you have total control of how difficult or easy the game is for other players. During the game, players can give you challenges to make your turn much harder to complete (blinded, while spinning the board, or a combination of challenges, etc). The more pieces on the board, the more challenging the game becomes.”

Player can choose from 6 different hero cards that have different strengths that are given to them. During the game players put different pieces on the game board. There are generally two possible outcomes, either they are successful or they make all of the pieces fall off of the board. When they make the pieces fall that player gets negative points and the other player will get the positive points from placing their items.
