“Delivered:” is a series in which we look at crowdfunded ideas that have successfully shipped to their supporters. We dive into the final product, after its long journey from concept to fulfillment.

Crash, the magazine dedicate to the ZX Spectrum home computer that was published from 1984 to 1991 is releasing a 2019 annual in celebration of it’s 100th issue. With the release of this annual they have also made additional memorabilia available for fans. In addition to the annual there is also a mug, calendar, car sticker, coaster, mouse mat, t shirt, assorted canvas, backpack, and maps. I was happy to see that each of the items contains the Crash logo and were created by all of the original writers and illustrators that I previously enjoyed.

My Crash annual is hardback and has 120 full color pages. It contained all of it’s original sections and then also added some new ones too. Lloyd Mangum has a forum to answer readers letters. Nick Roberts wrote the “Playing Tips” section to give tips to readers about playing Crash. Stuart Williams wrote an Adventure Trail Section of the annual, and Simon Goodwin heads up the Tech Niche section of the site. There will be a new comic strip that will be added to the annual that will be written by Oli and Roger. They also added a section where game reviews are listed of the latest and greatest games that have appeared over the last number of years.

All of the items that I received from the annual release were very good quality. The images in the calendar and the annual were true to the Crash graphics,  The calendar was large and had Crash images that took up most of the page with the dates at the bottom. The mug was the same quality as one that I would buy at the store, there was a mug that had just the crash logo and then also one that was surrounded by graphics. A never released Spectrum game was also available.

I loved being able to receive Crash memorabilia. I was able to stock up on a lot of things that I can enjoy for years to come. They have items that you can decorate with, metal aluminum crash covers, canvases, a backpack, coasters, and many more things to choose from.
